Last wednesday, sweden celebrates midsummer and there were lots of entertainment in different respective places such as parks, casstles, playground and the like! There were dances and its fun joining. This is like a traditional activity. And we , the outgoing family cannot be absent in such event:)

practice walking

she's already big as me:)

ngisngis..cute!

We went to one of the park in the city that has shows since we have children and it will be a good place for them to play. It was raining in the morning so we were a little bit hesitant to go but then when we were already there, the weather became good to us that Mr. sun arrived anyway:) It was fun and this will be my FAMILY TIME for this week!

Amazing traffic!

Traffic is one common thing we can experience during road trip! It’s all over though some places have less wheareas some places have much. During our road trip all the way to Paris, we experienced many kinds of traffic and some amazing traffic will I share here:)

longest traffic

The longest traffic I’ve ever seen and experienced! This was somewhere in Germany. As in people or traveler got out from their car to have some rest, some smoking and some drinking and me taking picture, hehehe! But one thing I noticed, they still have control in the road even in the middle of this kind of traffic. As you can see, the cars are still arranged and lined up and have a space in the middle for emergency vehicles like ambulance or police cars.

traffic in gasoline station

And this kind of traffic was phenomenal! A long traffic in gasoline station? waah! The fact that this gasoline station have 16 counter still there was a long queue every counter. We were thinking, what’s happening here? is the gasoline free today that makes all these cars line up? Nope, not even cheaper price! Nothing special, just this unusual traffic! Many wonder, many asking why, nobody answered than! “We have no idea”:)

Hmm… strange thing happens all the time! Have a great weekend!

Introducing Gothenburg:)

Travel time once again, and the theme for this week is ” SAy something about the place/city you live now”.  Well I reside here in Sweden now particularly in Gothenburg, one big city in Sweden and I’m proud to say we have lots here.

the city of gothenburg

Gothenburg  is the second-largest city in Sweden (after Stockholm) and the fifth-largest in the Nordic countries. Situated on the west coast of Sweden, the city proper has a population of 515,129, with 549,839 in the urban area and total of 930,635 inhabitants in the metropolitan area. (from wikipedia)

What I like that marks gothenburg is the river running through the city called ‘göta älv’. Gothenburg also is a home to many students, as the city includes both the University of Gothenburg and Chalmers University of Technology. Also, Volvo Cars was founded in Gothenburg in 1927.

Liseberg- vast amusement center

We also have ‘Liseberg’, the large amusement park and it has lot of fun there! One of the finest attraction in the city.

the famous 'lipstick' form building!

And then this famous red headed building which if you can see this, you know you are in Gothenburg:) We call it ‘lipstick’ because of its form. And according to history, the city had a contest with a big prize on having that a name on the building. And “lipstick” won! cool right?
Well, thats for now I can share about our place here in ‘Tuesday Travels’. Want to know more about places? Visit us here at

Here comes a new born meme every tuesdays for travelers. As I said my passion ever since was to travel around the world:) There’s no harm in dreaming but as I see my life now, my dream becomes a reality. Because God gave me a partner in life that loves to travel as well. And he already starts bringing me there with him and the whole family. Travel with us as this blog ‘Family trips’ continues.

The first question for this week is : WHERE IS YOUR DREAM DISTINATION?

Ever since I was still young , Paris was my ultimate dream place to travel. Then places mentioned in the Bible like Israel, Egypt and Rome, Italy.

eiffel tower

I was still pregnant with Erika this time so I felt, we were all there also:) It was so warm thats why thats the face of Laikka:)

disney land Paris

Since we have been in Paris already last year, next in line someday somehow is one of those biblical places. I know by God’s grace I can. Nothing is impossible!

“My ways are order by the Lord…”

Here in Sweden, bike is one of the famous ride for everyone specially nowadays that its summer. Bikes and bikers are everywhere. You can see parking lots with bikes lined up and on the streets people biking as well. Biking is a good training exercise for the body and its also a cheap ride since it doesn’t need gasoline. Thats the reason why almost everyone here has bikes. Every family has each, yes, each one suppose has and some has two. And as I noticed, every child born here gonna experience having bike even from the time they reach 1 year old. There’s this bikes from different stages.

Now, since its already summer, my husband already start fixing our bikes. We think its already time to take it out from the garage and we were planning to have outing like going to nearby lakes , or areas where we can have family picnic . All we need to do is put up bike accessories for the little one and for things we need! There are lots we can find different bike parts online. For big bikes and simple pedal bikes in order to be sure our bikes are well equiped before hitting the road.

My husband had a very big bike as tall as me and more bigger or I was just so small, before we met. And so when I came here and live with him, that bike was our only ride and really fun riding it. He has bikes almost all his life thats why he’s very fond of bikes and bike parts. He has lots of knowledge about it and even a member of a biker group. Now that we have children he set it aside but continue to show to us his passion of bikes. Right time will come that we as a family will hit the road with our bikes!

Scrub uniforms!

Here in Sweden, they are not particular having uniforms for teachers, or for office workers, well there are few but not the same  way back in my country that from students to whatever office you are working with, there are particular uniforms . But then NURSES and other medical proffessions  really have uniforms and as I know it’s very important for them to be in their uniforms during duty. Cheap scrubs are the most famous nowadays. It’s been proven that it lasts long, more practical and naturally breathable.

printed tops

Most of the time, medical workers has boring uniforms like all white or plain blue ..these are the trade mark of them. I remember when we were wearing all white before, we will be teased as nurse or doctors ‘wannabe’! Now there are already many different types suggested like printed nurses tops, interesting right? it’s fashionable and comfortable to have specially when you are already working as nurse for long time with those classic uniforms. Why not go into a change for the better, for a more colorful life.

Gift ideas for men!

Any gift ideas for men? I really find it hard to look for a gift for men, like for my husband, for my brothers and for my father. Everytime they have special day like birthdays, it took me couple of  hours to look in a store. Now, its almost father’s day again, not yet here in Sweden but for my father in Philippines so I start now to look for men gift ideas. I want it to be different from the usual and besides, my father has already everything he needs and things he wants.

Now how about a supercar driving experience? It must be fun for him I bet. I can let my brother who also is a father now to go with him so will be more exciting! It will be an experience for a lifetime. My father like to watch fantastic car driving show and my brother drives his car like crazy so I think this idea would be a perfect gift for them. What do you think? have you tried it yourself?
