How You Can Help

If you have been a victim of bullying there are some things you can do

  1. Tell an adult (try to REPORT it)
  2. Try to avoid vulnerable places until the situation is settled.
  3. Think about positive things about yourself.
  4. Try to talk things out instead of letting them escalate to something physical

If you are seeing bullying going on at your school

  1. TELL AN ADULT
  2. Tell another adult
  3. Talk with a school nurse/guidance counselor.
  4. Stand up and tell the bully that it isn't cool to do what they are doing.
  5. Offer to help the victim out and get them to a safe space in the school.

If you are/have been a bully

  1. Talk to an adult or a friend.
  2. Ask why you are feeling that way.
  3. Tell the person that you were bullying that you were sorry.
  4. Do things to make people/yourself feel good.

There are many things people can do to help. Sometimes just saying “hi” and smiling at someone can let them know that someone cares about them. If people care about other and themselves then no one will want to put other people down and bully anyone.
