What is YOVA?

So what is YOVA? Who are we?

YOVA is the Youth Outreach for Victims Assistance Project. This project is a cooperative effort between the National Crime Prevention Council (NCPC) and the National Center for Victims of Crime (NCVC) and is funded by the Office for Victims of Crime (OVC), Office of Justice Programs, U.S. Department of Justice.

This project was started to bring youth and adult allies together to create change in local communities. BRAVO (Buckeye Region Anti Violence Organization) and KYC (Kaleidoscope Youth Coalition) have partnered together to create this website as well as a poster, bookmark, and magnet campaign to promote creating safe environments in schools by focusing on bullying/harassment through the YOVA Project. Also, there will be a drama performance at the Matter of Pride Conference involving bullying/teen victimization.

You can get involved by stepping up and not allowing bullying to happen where you are. Also you can download the resource booklet and give those to friends in need or use it yourself. If you want to help out even more or if you have any questions about the project or want to get involved and be a part of the Central Ohio YOVA Team contact us!
